Stratovarius - Live At Wacken Open Air 2007 (Full Concert)

Another very special bootleg brought to this channel thankfully by René Figueroa. WOA 2007 is an interesting bootleg for more than one reason. Firstly and the reason it’s best known, because Stratovarius performs Last Night On Earth: A song they were to include in their once upcoming album ... (Revolution Renaissance) album. This did not happen because of some internal members struggle and the consecuent Tolkki’s departure. Timo T. still stayed with all the 10 R.R. songs rights and founded his homonimusly titled mega-band, in 2008 (Every song was re-recorded by the members of the new band and released as “New Era“ album). Secondly, this gig, according to and , was the very antepenultimate show of Stratovarius to have Timo Tolkki as guitarrist and main leader of the band. There’s a lot of underlying history which i’m not going to expalin here. I’m not really sure what happened. Here’s a recording of Tolkki’s very last concert with Strato According to an interview to him, Tolkki in the middle of this Wacken concert “realized this band is dead“ and wanted to finish it at the end of their festival attendances. That means none of the band members knew about his decision that time (and did not do it until their mini-tour was done). You can see a very positive attitude from Kotipelto. Thirdly, it’s the only bootleg I could get from the 2007 era, because Stratovarius only attended to fests. Fourth, 50% of this video is soundboard audio & video recording from the livestream, and 50% is a crowd recording audio.
