“’Derelict Research’ is a combat track designed for intense boss and combat moments. It embraces my Darktide sound palette of using vintage synths to help focus on an ’aged’ and ’lived in’ world. The organic instruments and step sequencers are all a bit out of control and I generally try to tame these to a point where it sounds like they are almost about to lose sync with the rest of the music. When assembling these performances on computer I use a lot of plugins to get each performance just right.
