CArrelé is a collection of wall tiles made from eggshell fragments

Textile designer Elaine Yan Ling Ng has created a unique collection of handmade wall tiles made from eggshells that would otherwise go to waste for surface brand Nature Squared. Called CArrelé, the collection’s name is a fusion of “carreler,“ which means “to tile“ or “to pave“ in French, and CA, the chemical symbol for calcium, referencing the calcium carbonate which makes up a natural eggshell.
