I am particularly proud to present this new film today. Those who know me know that I have always been very sensitive to the great causes that concern the protection of humans and animals. When Olivier Altmann proposed this beautiful project to me, I immediately said yes, with enthusiasm. This film for the association 30 millions d’amis denounces the mistreatment of animals, but from a different point of view than the one usually shown. As a complement to the essential work of the L214 pirate videos, which denounce the violence and barbaric treatment of animals, what I tried to do with this film was to develop a more introspective approach, shedding more light on their suffering and their intimate distress. The so-called “beasts“ are shown here as they really are: Living and fragile beings, magnificent in their emotion and sensitivity.
