Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda on Grieving Chester Bennington [EXTENDED INTERVIEW]

Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda recently released his debut solo album, called “Post Traumatic.“ Shinoda told Fox 5’s Lisa Evers that his goal with the new songs was to peel away every layer of superficiality in the national mental health conversation. He spoke about his friend Chester Bennington, who took his life in July 2017. Shinoda talked about the loss and the sadness but also the good memories and the therapeutic nature of songwriting.
