After being kicked out of their university, parapsychology professors Spengler (Harold Ramis from Groundhog Day and Stripes), Stantz (Dan Aykroyd from The Blue Brothers) and Venkman (Bill Murray from Charlie’s Angels and The Groundhog Day) decide to go into business for themselves by trapping and removing ghosts from haunted houses. After some initial skepticism, business is soon booming as The Ghostbusters ride New York of its undead.
