SLAUGHTER - 01/23/86 Rehearsal w/ Chuck Schuldiner

One of my favourite Canadian bands here. This is the rehearsal that cult death metal band Slaughter recorded with “Evil“ Chuck Schuldiner playing guitar on January 23rd, 1986. Originally saw a wide release on Hells Headbangers in 2004 as the “Fuck of Death“ CD, the audio in this video is sourced from the more recent “One Foot in the Grave“ compilation. Of interest here is the fact that the first two tracks are covers of Chuck’s songs from Death, with Evil Dead showcasing a very different sound from the heavily Celtic Frost-inspired Slaughter material of this era.
