Stirling Engine SV2 MKII by Kirk Engines, Inc.

This video shows the developmental progress of a high-performance Stirling engine intended to power an electrical generator. The goal is to have a propane-fuelled, portable generator developing approximately 500 watts @ 12 volts DC to charge battery arrays. The engine is shown running in a no-load condition as the current burner (made for an earlier version) is deficient in heat output. A new burner is presently being designed with the capacity to operate the engine at full rated shaft power output of 70
