Rava dosa is a quick and popular variant of dosa from the South Indian cuisine. These are crispy, and thin crepes made with semolina (rava ), rice flour, all purpose flour and spices. These are incredibly easy to make and require no grinding or fermentation, unlike the traditional Dosa Recipe.
Rava dosa
Ingredients quantity
Semolina ½ cup
Rice flour ½ cup
Refined flour ¼ cup
Yoghurt 2tbsp
Cumin seeds 1tsp
Crushed black pepper 1tsp
Green chilies chopped 2no.
Ginger chopped 1tsp
Coriander leaves chopped 1tbsp
Water as required
Curry leaves 6-7no.
Salt to taste
Onion chopped 1no.
Oil for greasing 1tsp
Method
1. First in bowl add semolina, rice flour, refined flour, yoghurt, cumin seeds, crushed black pepper, green chilies chopped, ginger chopped and water to make a thin batter, whisk it properly.
2. Now add salt to taste, and mix it again.
3. Now add crushed curry leaves and chopped coriander leaves and mix it again. Let the batter rest for 10mins.
4. Keep the Tawa on gas and grease oil on the Tawa prop
