The German Progressive Hard Rock band Flying Circus (or rather their guitarist Michael Rick and their violinist Rüdiger Blömer), whose album 1968 has been released recently, perform their track “Derry“, which is an instrumental containing nothing more than just one acoustic guitar and a violin. This a video promoting Flying Circus’ current album “1968“ which is available at and at Like all tracks on the album, “Derry“ is a treatment of historic events of that momentous year and thus exemplifies the concept of the “1968“ album of setting lots of events during this momentous year to music (other events include the “Prague Spring“, the student rallies in Paris, the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, assassination attempts on Andy Warhol and German student leader Rudi Dutschke, the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam War etc. etc.).
