Thermal is a Toronto-based duo consisting of musician/producer Josh McIntyre (Prince Innocence) and vocalist Lauren Armstrong. Their music taps into an effortless cool born somewhere between a run-down lower east side apartment and a barrel off the west coast, pairing haze-rock instrumentals with honeyed vocals that bathe in and part the walls of noise around them. Their first single ’Silver’ is out now. Breezing over fuzzed guitars, the vocals find calm in the middle of the storm, reciting lyrics in remembrance of a bullet dodged.
