#VisitRussia ? Elbrus is the highest mountain in both Russia and Europe. It is situated in the Side Ridge of the Caucasus Mountains, on the border between Kabardino‑Balkaria and Karachay‑Cherkessia. The nearest major cities are Kislovodsk, Nalchik and Mineralnye Vody. Mount is actually a volcano with two peaks. The western peak reaches a height of 5,642 meters, while the eastern peak stands at 5,621 meters. The two peaks are separated by a saddle that has an elevation of 5,200 meters and a length of 3 kilometers. ️ It captivates the imagination, enticing climbers, ski lovers and fans of active leisure. The mountain and surrounding area closely resemble the Swiss Alps. It is definitely worth visiting the “Devichy Kosy“ and Azau waterfalls, the Narzan Valley, and the Bermamyt Plateau. Source: DPR MFA
