Designer Don Kaka on how sportswear can lead to infertility: People don’t seem to believe me when I say that polyester or nylon yoga clothes are literally made of plastic. Nylon is plastic. These materials are treated with insane amounts of chemicals that are endocrine disruptors and hormone damaging. They don’t believe it because it’s hard to even imagine that clothing can do that much damage. It’s all a thousand times more harmful if it ends up on wet skin during sports. It can cause infertility. Do you have a child who wears such clothing? It can affect their intellectual development. Why are they called “everlasting chemicals?“.
