Timelapse finishing Giant Redwood Burl

Timelapse finishing this “ heirloom Redwood burl with Odies Oil. This piece came to us to refinish. Our client inherited this slab that his father finished over 60 years ago and had been on display in their family home. The slab had a thick shellac top coat that was showing its age with scratches and thinning areas. I handscraped the old finish off, brush sanded the edges to remove loose bark, clean, polish and detail. The top was sanded to 1000 grit and finished with 2 coats of Odie’s oil original and 1 coat of Odie’s butter.
