The evolution of Beatboxing live in a MRI

I had the honor to perform inside a real time MRI some beatbox solo sessions. This invention by Prof. Jens Frahm from the Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Goettingen, Germany, allows for the first time real videos from the inside of the human body. A microphone which uses light instead of electricity (because of the magnetic field inside the MRI) captures the audio. To reveal what beatboxers did for decades I covered some of my favourite beatboxer. Not all routines are exactly like the original and I couldn’t mention every milestone but I think this still gives a deep insight of how the artform developed. I covered in order of appearance: The Fat Boys, Doug E. Fresh, Kenny Muhammad, Rahzel, Killa Kela, Alem and Napom. To hear more of my stuff, visit me on Soundcloud: Contact: gauchomusic@
