The Accident | The Fox and the Hound AU

So this was a fun idea i had a week or so back with this audio. The Fox and the Hound is one of my favorite childhood movies I watch a lot especially when i need a good cry. AU Explanation: In this “AU“ of The Fox and the Hound, Copper ends up killing Todd when seeking revenge. However, he is haunted by the memory of it and never is able to hunt a fox again without feeling guilt and fear. Vixey ended up surviving and moving on, but Todd was killed under Coppers paws and then skinned and kept as a prize pelt by the hunter (Since Todd was cared for by the widow his whole life and not in the wild, his fur would be very clean and well maintained thus making it more valuable). edit: yes, this is slightly based off the book version even though I’ve never personally read it myself.
