Etude No. 3 in D Minor by Fiona Vilnite. Slow Practice video with metronome.
This intermediate etude explores shifting from third to second and then to first positions in a musical context. It also explores the relationship of 5ths between strings in the different positions and brings into awareness detache bowing, bow division and dynamic control.
This video includes the sheet music score with fingering suggestions and a moving cursor to help orientate when sight-reading and to help select specific areas for repeated practice.
Feel free to play along with the video and to repeat as much as necessary.
