The singer was already a big name on TikTok but catapulted to global stardom after he finished second for the UK in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with his track Space Man. Since then, he’s gone on to perform at the Platinum Party at the Palace and the Royal Variety Performance, so it’s only fitting he put on one final extravaganza before the year is out. Joined by some of music’s biggest stars, Ryder will be performing a few of his favourite songs from across the decades on the BBC either side of the big midnight countdown. Ryder previously said: “I can’t think of a better way to round off 2022 than singing some of my favourite songs with some very special guests. “It’s been such an incredible 12 months full of fabulous blessings thanks to fabulous people, and I’m so excited to bring in 2023 with you! The show will be split into two parts, with a pause to watch the fireworks at midnight before Ryder resumes the show at 12:10am. He will draw things to a close at 12:45am.
