Lotus 7 racing car SOUND 1957 - Ivan’s Shed

Join us as we look at Ivan Dutton’s 1957 Series one Lotus 7 - Number 17 Watch as we strip the engine and put in a new prop shaft and take the car for a test drive.. The car has a Coventry Climax engine. Coventry Climax were involved in F1 at the time and won the World Championship. The engine in the Lotus is a very light-weight aluminium engine that puts out a surprising amount of power, considering it was originally designed for a Fire Truck water pump!
