Growing a Better Life

Africa has 60% of the world’s agricultural land, but hunger is still a problem on the continent. New farming techniques are not only improving production, they’re also enriching people’s diet. This video tells the story of an African couple, who learned how to plant mushrooms at a Chinese-built Zambian Agricultural Technology Demonstration Center and make a good living for their family. The Center not only changed the life of the Zulus, but also enabled more local people to master the agricultural cultivation techniques through technical training, so that more and more local people can get rid of hunger and poverty and make a good living. This is an episode in the documentary series “Adventures on the New Silk Road.“ For more in this series, please check out the playlist at If you like our channel, you may subscribe to it at You may also follow us on various social media: Facebook:
