Enrico Caruso - Vesti la giubba (with synchronized film)

This recording of “Vesti la giubba“ from Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci is most likely familiar to all of you. It was recorded by the great Neapolitan tenor Enrico Caruso (1873-1921) and is one of his most famous recordings. There is certainly no lack of this recording on YouTube. What sets this particular video apart, however, is the fact that much of the recording has been synchronized with Caruso’s filmed performance taken from the 1918 picture “My Cousin“. No, the synchronization is not perfect, but it makes for some interesting viewing. Enjoy!
