Celebrating The Joy Of Family Reunions, This Mothers’ Day!
During the harvest season in #Maharashtra, farmers find more than just sugarcane in the fields—they also find little #leopard cubs! As it turns out, female leopards rely heavily on the tall sugarcane crops to shield their offspring from predators and human intervention.
This year, the #WildlifeSOS team operating out of the Leopard Rescue Centre in Junnar successfully reunited 15 leopard cubs with their mothers over the course of the harvest season.
On the delightful occasion of Mothers’ Day, we celebrate these wonderful mothers, who returned hearing her cubs in distress, and took them away to a safe place. These family reunions turn a crucial page in conservation as these leopard cubs grow up to be strong, stunning leopards continuing the survival of their species.
We compiled a video of all these heartwarming family reunions to bring a smile to your face as you all stay protected in your homes, in these difficult times.
