Verdine White Bass Solo at Earth, Wind & Fire Hollywood Concert

Earth, Wind & Fire bass guitar solo at Hollywood final concert in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, Sept 15, 2013. Bassist Verdine White and his lead singer brother Maurice White were long time members of Earth, Wind and Fire. The co-founder and leader of Earth, Wind & Fire, died February 4, 2016 in his Los Angeles home at age 74. “My brother, hero and best friend Maurice White passed away peacefully last night in his sleep,“ said Verdine White. “While the world has lost another great musician and legend, our family asks that our privacy is respected as we start what will be a very difficult and life-changing transition in our lives. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes.“ Maurice White stopped touring with the group since his diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease in the ’90s, yet he remained behind the scenes as EWF continued to tour, including the three 2013 sold-out shows at the Hollywood Bowl.
