David Cameron: Britain a small island, but a great country

During his speech to the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester, Prime Minister David Cameron defends Britain and embraces the island mentality. It was at the time of the G20 summit in Russia last month that it was alleged that an unnamed Russian official dismissed Britain as “just a small island“. The Prime Minister launched an impassioned defence of Britain back in September, but returned to the theme during a keynote speech at the Tory conference in which Mr Cameron appeared to fully embrace the island mentality. “When the world wanted rights, who wrote Magna Carta?“ Mr Cameron said, as he proceeded to champion the UK and its achievements.
