Dominated by vocalist Fumio Nunoya, ex-singer with New Rock act Blues Creation and Group Sounds act The Bickies, both of which he had formed with Kazuo Takeda, in 1969. Nunoya was also with band Taboo whom he formed with future Happy End star Eiichi Otaki. Evidence of only two Dew songs survive, both recorded at the Genya Protest Festival, and both featuring on the soundtrack LP on Elec Records. However, the band split up soon afterwards. Those in love with the freakier side of life will no doubt get a kick out of lead singer Nunoya Fumio. He sings in English, he sings in Japanese, he sings some covers, and he sings his own songs; but no matter what, it all sounds the same: a primal howl from the gut that’s too concerned with the “moment“ to be bothered by things like intonation or song structure. The guitarist does an admirable job trying to keep up, even though it’s a losing battle. Unfortunately, the bass and drummer are recorded too low in the mix, making this archival live release a little less “wasted“ than it could have been. One week after this show, Dew would go on to play at the mighty Genya Concert.
