Immigrants in Central African Republic The Central African Republic (CAR) is a landlocked country located in Central Africa, with a population of approximately 4.9 million people. The country is ethnically diverse, with more than 80 different ethnic groups. As of 2022, there are relatively few immigrants in the Central African Republic. According to the United Nations, there were approximately 68,000 Immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers in the country, mostly from neighboring countries such as Sudan, Chad, France, Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
