Beethoven Leonore Overture no. 1, op. 138

Ludwig Van Beethoven (1770-1827) Beethoven composed four overtures to his only opera, Fidelio. The first is Leonore Overture no. 1, followed by Leonore no. 2, 3 and the ultimate Fidelio Overture. It has a high opus number because the proprer Beethoven had withdrawn it. So, it was heard for the first time one year after his death and nowadays is considered separated from his opera works.
