Police vehicles are lined up in front of the famous John Paul Jones arena and additional officers are bussed in from around the state in preparation for any violence over the weekend. In the meantime, protesters mourn at the Heather Heyer memorial in Downtown Charlottesville and lay flowers and pray at the location where she was hit by a car in 2017. Protests and counter-protests are planned at UVA on Saturday and Sunday.
