Sea Lion Attacks King Penguin

Warning/Spoiler alert - a penguin is captured and eaten. A sea lion gives a dramatic chase and catches a king penguin during the early morning hours at Volunteer Point in the Falkland Islands. It was amazing to see just how far the sea lion galloped, up across the dunes and toward the king penguin and gentoo colonies on land. It’s clear that the sea lion has exerted a substantial amount of energy obtaining this meal based on how many times he has to rest afterward, and then collapses into the water back on
