Boris Johnson will on Thursday pledge a major expansion of nuclear power to enhance Britain’s energy security as his final act before leaving Downing Street. The Prime Minister is expected to confirm that he is poised to agree a deal to buy a significant stake – thought to be around 20 per cent – of a new nuclear power station planned for Sizewell, in Suffolk.
