I am a student of Velikovsky and studied his research deeply. He gathered all the ancient accounts about a great flood in 1500bc recorded in every culture. His accounts were of a fiery impact by a comet that was actually Venus and boiled the waters and created cooked creatures bodies that stabilized in many areas as rock. I then studied Appolodorus from 150bc and .... I now feel the myths were likely rooted in truth. These were Gnostics and their God was a Dragon.
