To date, he has won more than thirty competition prizes. His most recent achievements include winning fourth prize and a special prize at the Maria-Canals 2023 Competition in Barcelona. Chamot began his career as a ‘rising talent’ in his youth, being accepted into Professor Sheila Arnold’s class at the Pre-College-Cologne of the HfMT Cologne at the age of only 12, which provided him with decisive musical impulses. Soon after, he won international prizes in Berlin, Zwickau, Enschede, Weimar and Cologne, among others, and performed at venues such as the Philharmonie in Berlin and Cologne, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Laeisz-Halle in Hamburg and others. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Specialised Performance – Soloist with highest honours. In 2018, he played several times at the Philharmonie in Berlin, won some of the most exclusive scholarships in Switzerland and was invited by the WDR Symphony Orchestra to perform as soloist at the Philharmonie in Cologne. From 2011 to 2014, Chamot was a fellow of the ‘Jürgen Ponto-Stiftung’ and the ‘Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben’. From 2018 to 2020, he received the Migros-Kulturprozent scholarship award and in 2020 he was selected for the Lieven Piano Foundation scholarship.
