Sierra Ferrell, “Silver Dollar“// GemsOnVHS™

This is the first installment of a little series of videos we did at a soon-to-be-historic venue in South Nashville opening later this year, Flatrock Music Hall. It used to be an old church, and the folks down there were kind enough to let us film a few videos in the hallowed space. Still got the dusty pews and stained glass windows, not to mention the booming acoustics any good church provides. This week it ain’t fire and brimstone but Sierra Ferrell, her fiery voice and fine guitar pickin’. Since y’all started sharing the livin’ heck out of her music, great things done happened. She’s recording a new album, touring the world and doing all manner of important person things. Turns out she really is quite the gem. This song was co-written with Nate Leath. You can find her latest release with Rounder Records here, featuring a re-imagined rendition of “Jeremiah“ backed with “Why’d Ya’ Do It“: Find more of her music, tour dates and the like here;
