I bring you my closest rendition of Miku’s Mayim Mayim song from Dropkick on My Devil! X. I recomposed it, meaning I made the instruments, voice, and sounds by scratch to closely match the original sound in order to extend and remake it myself, since it’s catchy and deserves a completed and decluttered version. I also learned a little bit about how to make Vocaloids sing, as I had to do this so I can match the voice and lyrics as close as possible. Speaking of the lyrics, yes, it’s a polka, but it’s NOT Ievan Polkka, even though this song is written mostly in the same way with the gibberish lyrics as reflected in her cover of Ievan Polkka (*inhales*). Rather, she appears to be covering Mayim Mayim, a song well known for its influence on both Jewish and Japanese cultures, as it originated from a biblical verse (Isaiah 12:3) and how the Palestinians discovered a “spring of salvation“ in the desert about a century ago.
