Ukraine: Protesters, police clash at Kiev anti-lockdown rally

Clashes occurred between protesters and riot police in Kiev on Tuesday, as several thousand demonstrators gathered at the central Maidan Square to protest lockdown measures designed to combat the coronavirus pandemic. The unrest started after police officers stopped a protester from setting up a tent on the square, after which tear gas was used. The police said that around 40 officers were hurt in the clashes. It was not clear how many protesters were injured.
