I made a Sashiko sampler with 9 different patterns!
Thank you for watching!
I wanted to embed the links in this video but YouTube allows me to embed only 5 videos, so I couldn’t include some links in it.
Here are the links for the instructions of the individual patterns
Pattern 1 (cross flower stitch 十字花刺し):
Pattern 2: (flower stitch 花刺し):
Pattern 3 (triangles - I previously stitched this on a pocket for T-shirt):
Pattern 4 (Dantsunagi 段つなぎ ):
Pattern 5 (a variation of Zenigata-zashi - I stitched this on a phone case):
Pattern 6 (Kakinohana - I stitched for visible mending):
Pattern 7 (another flower stitch on the pin cushion):
Pattern 8 (another variation of Zenigata-zashi - I stitched on my jeans)
Pattern 9 (Asanoha - I stitched it on a covered button)
Also, this is the video showing some examples of starting and finishing without having a knot.
I drew a grid of 5mm squares in each circle to stitch those patterns.
This method to stitch along grid lines is called Hitomezashi.
I used a 10cm diameter circle template and drew 9 circles in a 30cmx30cm frame.
