To stop acting arrogant or superior.
Example : Get off your high horse , you aren’t as smart as you think you are.
Eat like a horse:
To eat large amounts of food
Example : I eat like a horse.
To Flog / Beat a dead horse:
Fruitless effort
Example : He keeps going for auditions but I think he’s flogging/beating a dead horse.
To Hold your horses:
If you are doing something too fast and you need to hold on or slow down.
Example : She has invested a lot of money .she needs to hold her horses.
Straight from the horse’s mouth:
From authoritative or dependable source.
Example : She is quitting her job, I heard it straight from the horse’s mouth.
To Back the wrong horse:
To support someone or something that cannot succeed.
Example : I invested a lot of money on him and eventually realized I have backed a wrong horse.
