Her mother was Marathi stage actress Mandakini Bhadbhade. She met renowned Marathi actor Vivek Lagoo, her future colleague in the bank and stage actor, in 1976 before marrying in 1978. The Couple got separated after few years of their marriage. The couple’s daughter Mrunmayee Lagoo is also an actress and theatre director.
