Performers: Iona Brown, violin; Howard Shelley, piano; The Academy of St Martin in the Fields.
As a response to a comment thread elsewhere, here is more info about the piece.
Levin completed the 1st movement in 1968 and performed it at Harvard but to my knowledge, it’s never been recorded.
Philip Wilby’s completion has now been recorded 4 times:
- Iona Brown, violin and conductor; Howard Shelley, piano and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields (1989) (present video)
- Monika Leonhard, violin; Ellen Corver, piano and the Amsterdam Mozart Players conducted by Jürgen Kussmaul (1990)
- Christoph Eschenbach, violin and conductor; Midori Goto, piano and the NDR-Sinfonieorchester (2001)
- Daniel Hope, violin; Sebastian Knauer, piano and the Camerata Salzburg conducted by Roger Norrington (2004)
