Making a wooden hay rake

Making a wooden hay rake with a few simple hand tools for our summer mowing season. The handle is dry quarter sawn ash, the head green riven hickory and the teeth are dry riven hickory. This rake is my take on the old Swedish rakes from years ago. The green head will ensure tightness as it shrinks on the dry teeth and handle tenon. Last tooth also acts as a draw bored tenon keeping everything together. Finished with a mix of pine tar, canola oil, and citrus solvent. Patreon page:
