Apollo 8 Earthrise Animation

On December 24, 1968, humans saw the phenomenon known as “Earthrise“ with their own eyes for the first time. The crew of Apollo 8; Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, And Bill Anders, saw and took color photographs of the Earth rising above the lunar horizon in a series of images that captured the spirit of the Apollo program, and their 10 orbits around the Moon paved the way for the “Giant Leap“ 6 months later.
