Once Upon a Rock-A-Chola

Once upon a time in the melting pot of Los Angeles, a girl dreamed of having her own clothing company. Little did she know that that dream, with the help of the internet, would also propel a growing subculture, not only in LA but around the world- a fusion of Mexican culture, pachuc@ era fashion, chola style, rock-a-billy, tattoos, and custom cars, but mainly strong, liberated women. Pink Mink Mafia CEO, Latina Vamp, has dubbed the style rock-a-chola. So what was meant to be just a clothing company evolved into a global sisterhood, reaching from the US to Japan and now Brazil. Also known to her models as LV and La Jefa, Latina Vamp says the beginning of PMM marks the end of her “first life“, when she stopped living to please others and when the person she says she was always meant to be emancipated. In that same spirit and through the vehicle of Pink Mink Mafia, she encourages other women to do the same, through fashion, art, culture, and voice.
