Nurburgring, Germany. SV pan, car 19 Karl Kling, Daimler Benz, pan to BV. SV crowds watching. CS two cars over breast of hill into camera, first one is Hawthorn in car 3, goes out of frame followed by Hermann’s Mercedes. CU pan, No 18 Fangio racing round bend. CU pan, No 21 Herman Lang, Benz. CU pan, No 19 Kling, Benz. CU pan, No 1 Gonzales. SV people looking on. SCU pan, No 18 Fangio still in lead. LV pan No 19 Kling. CU two cars coming over rise, two Mercedes. TV pan up cars No 18 followed closely by 19, racing down straight past stands. Fangio and Kling. SV pit mechanic clenching fist as two cars race past. LV pan, car No 18 Fangio racing past crowds, with No 19 Kling hot on his heels. SV Gonzales stepping out of his Ferrari No 1 at the pits, while mechanics frantically fill it up. LV wrecked car on grass, driven by Marimon. SCU wrecked car. SV Mike Hawthorn replacing Gonzales, stepping into Ferrari No 1 and car moves away. GV pan down No 19 Kling racing down past stands and out of frame. SV German team chief, Alfred Neubauer flagging in No 19. CU pan, Kling driving into pits. SV Neubauer standing beside car while mechanics fill it up, & SCU. SV Neubauer charging hordes of onlookers and wielding his flag to clear space. LV No 19 Kling drives away from pits. LV towards, No 18 Fangio racing past pits, & BV. AS two cars racing towards over hill. No 2 is Tritingnant, he comes in and out. LV towards and pan round to back view, No 18 Fangio in lead. LV finish of race with Fangio crossing line followed by Hawthorn. LV Fangio’s car pulling in, surrounded by press etc. CU two men looking on. GV crowds around Fangio, being mobbed as wreath is put on him SCU Fangio with garland round neck talking to Federal President Theodor Heuss (paperwork states that he is President of the New German Parliament).
