Panelization provides early insights into board layout on the panel during development process

Panel layout is usually done by the PCB manufacturer. For early insight during development process as well as to optimize the shapes, the designer can use Panelization to anticipate this process. The boards are imported into an empty panel project (.brd) as modules and then placed manually or via coordinates. All net names and properties of the individual circuit boards are retained.
