Albert Schweitzer (1875-1965) performs Bach’s chorale, “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God,“ BWV 720. This recording was made in September 1952; Schweitzer -- who at the time recorded six chorale preludes (BWV 720, 600, 731, 768, 636, and 643) is playing a 1932 Haerpfer organ (incorporating portions of the previous organ by Rinkelbach), in the Parish Church, in Gunsbach, Alsace, France.
