Anna is on her way home; waiting for the last bus. But someone’s waiting with her. The streets are quiet. Too quiet. Her heart is beating heavily… A situation every woman knows and fears. It happens at bus stops, bars, in public parks, restaurants, parties... Every day, everywhere. Women’s rights activists have observed November 25 as a day against gender-based violence since 1981. It aims to raise public awareness around the issue as well as increase both policymaking and resources dedicated to ending violence against women and girls worldwide.
