Best all-round carp rig: The classic hair rig revisited + why it’s SO effective

The knotless knot hair rig is a classic of modern carp fishing and here’s why it’s still the best all round carp rig. I’ve added a little twist to improve its performance and use it with a very effective running lead. In this tutorial, I revisit an all time classic that has been around for 30 years: the mono hair rig. I’ve been fishing various versions of this rig for the last 3 years and I’ve learnt a lot about it. It may look very simple but there are some tiny little details that are so important to get right. I’ve added a little element to it which enhances its performance and I’ve caught some amazing specimens from a variety of waters while I’ve been testing it.
