The time is September 1988. The place is Farnborough Air Show. On Monday afternoon, the soviet AN-124 blew an engine at the beginning of the take-off roll and aborted. Then, as we were preparing to leave on Wednesday evening, a never heard sound came from the sky: a soviet AN22 Ante was coming to the rescue with a replacement engine.
