Levy (1861-1935) was a brazilian pianist and composer. The eldest son of the French clarinetist Henrique Luís Levy, founder of the musical establishment Casa Levy, and brother of the renowned composer Alexandre Levy, he started playing the piano at an early age, performing in public at the age of nine at Teatro São José. concert player, playing pieces by classical composers, as a soloist and accompanied by his brother in four-hand concerts. He was also part of trios and quintets, participating in concerts promoted by Clube Haydn, a musical society he founded in 1883.
