B C MANJUNATH / MATTIAS IA EKLUNDH PRIMALITY

PRIMALITY Woah! What a composition, what a journey with my dear amazing brother Mattias IA Eklundh I HAD to reach out to this musician who is also human, strangely. Then he replied!!!! Already a successful story. Then started to conversation of how much we love and respect each others music. Uniquely Mattias’s music though complex, can groove and makes our body move. Something not easy to comprehend. I requested if we could collaborate and in next two days there was a proposal with a composition in my inbox. I could not believe this man’s efficiency and hard working nature. Slowly I started deciphering the piece, piece by piece and few zoom meetings with Mattias really helped. Went to Layadigi studios to my friend Pramath Kiran and boy he is a beast. Just made sure it sounded to my best and we sent the audio video files to dear Mattias. My job was done. Haha Then or dear Mattias worked in both audio and video for at least 10-12 hours before teaching this amazing output. What can I say? My dear friend you are the best. Thanks with a big smile on my face is what I can say as of now. Love this #groove #mridangam # guitar #composition #ComplexRhythms #djent #mattiaseklundh #BCManjunath #Konnakkol #KONNAKOL his words Primality Sometimes the internet can be a wonderful thing. On March 8th I received a message on Instagram that blew yours truly right off the chair. The absolutely fantastic B.C. Manjunath, whom I had adored and respected for years, wrote to me and said he... was an admirer of my work (!) Needless to say, I went bananas and bombarded master B.C. Manjunath (or Manju as I now call him) with praise and love for his tremendous understanding of time. Manju is so next level it hurts. What followed was a whole lot of brotherly writing and Zoom meetings. Manju really wanted to do a collaboration of some sorts. He didn’t have to ask twice.I felt so extremely honored as I was tweaking the audio and chopping the footage, hour by hour, and I still have to pinch myself in the arm. This really happened. And tomorrow you can hear and see it too. Hope you’ll like it. IA
